Deepika Padukone made her debut in Tamil cinema with the film ‘Kochadaiyaan’ starring alongside Rajinikanth. The film was the first Tamil movie made in 3D animation and it was released in 2014. After Kochadaiyan, Deepika Padukone has not signed up for any Tamil movies. According to reports, Deepika Padukone was said to sign up for a film against Suriya in 2006 which was said to be directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, however that did not happen.
