Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ has now completed a week at the box-office. The film released last Wednesday on Holi and it continued to see a rise in the business over its first weekend. Thus, the first weekend collection of the film was pivotal.
But ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ did well over the weekend and continued to remain steady even on Monday and Tuesday. It made around Rs 5 crore on Tuesday, but has seen a slight dip in the business on Wednesday. As per trade website boxofficeindia.com, the Luv Ranjan movie made 4.50-4.75 crore nett on Wednesday. However, this dip in the business is considered normal even for films which are doing well. With that, the total collection of the film is now 74.50 crore nett. It is expected to close this extended week at around 9 crore by Friday.

The trade feels that this film could have done very well if in the initial 5 days, the numbers were better. Now the second Friday will be pivotal for the film and if it continues to bring in something in the 4 crore range, the film will be considered a success at the box-office. Otherwise, this business will be considered average.
But this Friday sees the release of ‘Zwigito’ starring Kapil Sharma and Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’. The early reviews of both these films are good and hence, they may pose competition to ‘Tu Jhoothi..’ and bring down its numbers. For now, we shall wait for Friday and the coming weekend to decide the final fate of the film.
