Suniel Shetty says ’25 years ago people used to laugh at us’ as he opens up about RRR and The Elephant Whisperer’s Oscar win | Hindi Movie News

It was a day to remember for India at the 95th Academy Awards when we bagged two Oscars for ‘Naatu Naatu’ song from RRR in the Best Original Song category and ‘The Elephant Whisperer’ in Best Documentary Short Film category.
Wishes have been pouring in from all sides ever since our historic win. Suniel Shetty recently reacted to the same in an interview with a news portal. He said that he is feeling very proud that we have finally proved it. Ther actor pointed out that 25 years ago, the world used to laugh, saying why do you sing and dance all the time? According to him, we sing and dance because we are Indians. We celebrate everything with music. And now, the world is trying to ape that and bring in music everywhere. Most influencers are dancing to Hindi songs and getting an audience. This means we were right and we are there, Suniel told India Today.

Suniel Shetty also went on to add that ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ was a beautiful documentary film.

On the work front, Suniel will next be seen in ‘Hunter – Tootega Nahi Todega’. The web show will release on March 22, 2023. Apart from this, he also has the much-awaited ‘Hera Pheri 3’ with Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sanjay Dutt in the pipeline.
